MEDAN, Lingga Village, Karo Regency is one of the villages that is a tourist destination in Karo Regency, North Sumatra (Sumut)
The village is located at an altitude of around 1,200 m above sea level, approximately 15 km from Berastagi City and 5 km from Kabanjahe City which is the capital of Karo Regency.
This village is located near Mount Sinabung, where Mount Sinabung is one of the volcanoes that is still active and still erupts frequently.
One of the impacts of Mount Sinabung is air pollution caused by eruptions. This is because eruptions can produce gases that are harmful to human health such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Chloride (HCl), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Radon (Rn), Hydrogen Fluoride (HF), and Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4).
In order to monitor the air quality around Lingga Village, Karo Regency, we from the Electrical Engineering Study Program students who are members of the SIKONEK Robotics UKM designed a system that can monitor air quality.
