Medan, the Community Service Institute of the University of North Sumatra held a meeting with the Implementation Team for the International Collaborative Community Service activities carried out by representatives from the University of North Sumatra, the Open University, and Universiti Sains Malaysia.
This activity was attended by the Secretary of LPPM USU Dr. Meutia Nauly and together with staff at the Community Service Institute of the University of North Sumatra related to the implementation of Community Service activities.
On this occasion, Dr. Nurzainah Ginting was also present as the Chairperson of the International Community Service Implementation from the University of North Sumatra. And, on this occasion, she also presented the results of the need assessment activities that had been carried out previously together with other teams at the target location of the Community Service activities at the Berastagi Fruit Market. This activity was based on complaints from foreign tourists visiting Berastagi, especially tourists from Malaysia, many things need to be fixed at the Berastagi Fruit Market, especially those related to supporting facilities for visitors, such as toilets, prayer rooms, and the condition of the market itself.

Also, the implementation team has also coordinated with the Karo Regency Government, especially those directly related to the management of the Berastagi Fruit Market. And, on this occasion it was also conveyed that the Team will return to the location for the implementation of Community Service activities in May 2025.
