The Community Service Institute of the University of North Sumatra held an activity to send off participants of the 2025 BKS West PTN International KKN II, which began with departure from Kualanamu International Airport on July 20, 2025 to the Sumatra Institute of Technology (Itera) in Lampung.
The International KKN participant escort was accompanied by Irfan Syahputra, a staff member from the University of North Sumatra's Community Service Institute. Dr. Meutia Nauly, the Institute's Secretary, also represented the leadership of the University of North Sumatra's Community Service Institute.
Participants then attended a welcoming ceremony prepared by the organizing committee, held on the campus of the Sumatra Institute of Technology (Itera). A total of 213 students from member universities of the West Sumatra State University Board (BKS PTN) participated in the 2nd International Community Service Program (KKN II). The University of North Sumatra sent five students to participate in the event.

The ceremonial farewell ceremony for students participating in the International Community Service Program II was held on Monday, July 21, 2025, in the courtyard of the GKU 1 Itera Building. The participants were then deployed to the two locations: East Lampung Regency and Pesawaran Regency.
Following the farewell ceremony, the West PTN BKS Coordination Meeting will be held at the University of Lampung. The Community Service program will also be held on July 22, 2025, on Pahawang Island.
