Langkat – The Community Service Institute of Universitas Sumatera Utara organized a Family Gathering/Outbound activity on November 10–11, 2023, at Hotel Rindu Alam, Bukit Lawang, Bahorok District, Langkat Regency.
This event involved Deputy Deans III, Research and Community Service Subsection Heads, and staff assigned by Deputy Deans III from each faculty within Universitas Sumatera Utara. The leadership and staff of the Community Service Institute of Universitas Sumatera Utara also attended it.
This activity aimed to create a positive work environment for managing community service activities. In this context, the Deputy Dean III of each faculty member acts as a direct partner of the Community Service Institute in managing and implementing community service programs.
Given the nature of this working relationship, organizing an activity that fosters unity among all staff involved, both from the Deputy Deans III of faculties and LPPM USU was deemed necessary. The program included games to promote teamwork and solidarity among the participating teams.
Additionally, the program featured a trekking activity in the Gunung Leuser National Park forest. This activity aimed to enhance mutual care and collaboration among participants to complete the journey through the forest together.
After the event, it is hoped that a better work atmosphere will be established and coordination between work units—particularly between faculties under the coordination of Deputy Deans III and LPPM USU—will improve. This improvement is expected to translate into more effective management of community service activities in the future.
