LPPM USU Sent Off USU Students for the 10th National KKN Program in 2022

The 10th National Community Service Program (KKN Kebangsaan) was held in Central Kalimantan Province, involving 10 students from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The official send-off ceremony occurred on July 14, 2022, at the USU Rectorate Bureau. Vice Rector I, Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH, MA, directly released the USU student delegation, accompanied by the Head of LPPM USU, Prof. Tulus, and LPPM Secretary, Meuthia Nauly, S.Psi., M.Si.
In 2022, Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR) was appointed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology to host the National KKN program. The program ran from July 16 to August 20, 2022, with student delegations from 85 state universities across Indonesia.
The theme of the 2022 National KKN was "Applying the Philosophy of Huma Betang as a Realization of National Unity to Support the Development of a Food Estate Towards National Self-Reliance." Vice Rector I emphasized that the USU delegation should actively and progressively contribute to the program. "USU students must actively participate in this major event and bring back valuable experiences to share with other students at USU," he remarked during his speech.

The National KKN aims to address current national issues while fostering student leadership and service competencies to help solve the nation's problems. LPPM USU Head, Prof. Tulus, encouraged students to serve the community with their knowledge, stating that the best way to demonstrate expertise is by making it beneficial to society.
The National KKN took place in Kapuas and Pulang Pisau Regencies. Students collaborated in serving communities in designated villages for over a month. This spirit of service is hoped to bring significant benefits to the community.
