Implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation of Community Service Program

The Institute for Community Service at Universitas Sumatera Utara (LPPM USU) conducted Monitoring and Evaluation activities to implement the TALENTA USU Community Service Program in 2023. These activities were held from October 23 to 31, 2023, involving reviewers and LPPM staff who directly visited partner locations of the Community Service Program. However, some programs located far from Medan City were conducted online via Zoom Meetings.

The monitoring and evaluation process involved reviewers appointed by the head of LPPM USU, who were accompanied by supporting staff to assist with administrative matters. Both the program leader and the partners involved in the Community Service Program were required to attend these sessions. This arrangement facilitated reviewers verifying the program's implementation with both the program leader and the partners.

Initially, the Monitoring and Evaluation activities were conducted in person for partner locations within reasonable proximity, such as Medan City, Binjai City, Deli Serdang Regency, Serdang Bedagai Regency, Tebing Tinggi City, Batubara Regency, Karo Regency, and Langkat Regency, from October 23 to 27, 2023.

Subsequently, online Monitoring and Evaluation sessions were held for partner locations farther away, such as Asahan Regency, Samosir Regency, Toba Regency, North Labuhan Batu Regency, Tanjung Balai City, North Padang Lawas Regency, Mandailing Natal Regency, Simalungun Regency, Dairi Regency, Padang Sidempuan City, and several locations outside North Sumatra Province under the National Collaboration Scheme.

Overall, the Monitoring and Evaluation activities ran smoothly, and the Community Service Programs implemented by the program leaders adhered to the proposals approved by LPPM USU.
