Medan – The Institute for Community Service at Universitas Sumatera Utara (LPPM USU) organized the departure and transport of KKNT (Thematic Real-Work Lecture) participants to their designated locations from Monday, July 17, to Friday, July 21, 2023.
In 2023, LPPM USU managed 73 regular KKNT groups placed in various regions, including Deli Serdang Regency, Serdang Bedagai Regency, Langkat Regency, Karo Regency, Batubara Regency, Samosir Regency, and Humbang Hasundutan Regency. Additionally, two International KKNT groups were placed in Samosir Regency. Participants in the National KKNT, hosted this year by Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak, were also transported to their respective locations.
For International KKNT, participants included students from international partner universities who registered through USU's International Affairs Office. They joined USU participants who had passed the selection process conducted by LPPM USU.
Meanwhile, LPPM USU also selected National KKNT participants sent to Universitas Tanjungpura. Those who passed the selection were registered with the organizing committee at Universitas Tanjungpura as USU representatives.
KKNT participants stayed at their respective locations for approximately one and a half months. During this time, the organizing team monitored the programs through on-site supervisors. Participants were expected to implement their plans according to the needs of their assigned locations, providing direct impact and benefits to the local communities.
