The Community Service Institute of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) participated in the Contract Signing event to implement the Community Service Program for the Fiscal Year 2024. This event occurred at the Artotel Gelora Senayan Hotel, Jakarta, on June 11, 2024.
The Director of Research, Technology, and Community Service opened the event, M. Faiz Syuaib, who delivered a keynote speech and presentation on DRTPM policies. Faiz expressed hope that the increased research and community service funding in 2024 would lead to program outputs that align with expectations and significantly benefit society.
During the event, contracts were signed for 13 new community service project proposals under the Community Partnership Empowerment Scheme for a single fiscal year. This marked an increase compared to the previous year's 10 funded projects by the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service (DRTPM). Contracts for two ongoing community service projects under the Student-Based Entrepreneurship Scheme were also signed. These contracts were directly signed by the Chairperson of LPPM USU, Prof. Tulus Vor. Dipl. Math., M.Si., Ph.D.
Simultaneously, information was shared about the Technical Guidance for Proposal Improvement for the 2024 Community Service Program. This opportunity is hoped to increase the number of community service projects funded by the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service in 2024.
