The Community Service Institute of the University of North Sumatra attended the Contract Signing for the Research and Community Service Program Batch II and the Advanced PUI-PT Program, held at the Sutasoma Hotel, Jakarta, on July 30, 2025.
The event was attended by the Head of the Community Service Institute of the University of North Sumatra, as well as University Leaders, Heads of LLDikti (Higher Education Institutions), PUI-PT Managers, and Heads of Research and Community Service Institutes from various universities in Indonesia.
The Director General of Research and Development (Dirjen Risbang), Fauzan Adziman, in his remarks, stated that this event was not merely an administrative ceremony but would serve as a strategic momentum to strengthen the direction of national development based on science, technology, and innovation.
Furthermore, the Director of Research and Community Service (DPPM), I Ketut Adnyana, added that all Research and Community Service proposals funded in Batch II had undergone an administrative and substantive selection process, as well as systematic mentoring through Technical Guidance.
Based on a decision from the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM), the University of North Sumatra has received funding for three (title) Community Service activities in Batch II. The implementing lecturers are as follows:
1. Astrid Fauzia Dewinta S.St.Pi., M.Si. from the Faculty of Agriculture;
2. Dr. Dolly Sojuangan Siregar S.P., M.P. from the Faculty of Agriculture; and
3. Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap M.Sc. from the Faculty of Engineering.
This funding for Community Service Batch II brings the total number of Community Service funding received from the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) to 17 (seventeen) titles, compared to 13 (thirteen) titles received in Batch I and one (1) Advanced Multi-Year Community Service title.
