Medan, the Community Service Institute of the University of North Sumatra held a Socialization and Technical Guidance activity for the Preparation of Community Service Proposals from the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM).
This activity was carried out online on March 18, 2025 by the Community Service Institute of the University of North Sumatra. This activity was carried out by starting with a speech from the Head of LPPM USU Prof. Dr. Tulus Vor.Dipl.Math., M.Sc., Ph.D. and continued with a speech and opening by the Vice Chancellor for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation of USU Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan S.Sc., M.Sc., Apt.
In the implementation of this activity, there were 2 (two) speakers involved, namely Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, MS who is a Lecturer from Sebelas Maret University, and is also a member of the DPPM Research and Community Service Guidelines Compilation Team.
Thus, it is hoped that this activity will be able to provide a lot of good information and in accordance with the Guidelines in the preparation of Proposals by the proposing lecturers from the University of North Sumatra, and can avoid mistakes that can cause failure of proposals at the administrative stage. On this occasion, the resource person also told the proposer to pay close attention to the suitability of the template used in preparing the Community Service proposal.

In the implementation of this activity, the second resource person was Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti M.Si. who is a Lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra and also a National Reviewer for the DPPM Community Service activity. On this occasion, he explained several things that must be considered in preparing a Community Service activity proposal that will later be submitted to DPPM.
