Medan, the Community Service Institute of the Universitas Sumatera Utara carried out a Socialization activity for the Proposal of Community Service with Non-PNBP Funding Sources for the 2023 Fiscal Year on May 15, 2023.

This activity was carried out online through the Zoom Meeting media. The implementation of this activity began with remarks from the Chairperson of LPPM USU Prof. Tulus, Vor.Dipl.Math., M.Sc., Ph.D, who on this occasion also represented the Vice Chancellor for Research, Community Service and Cooperation Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan S.Sc., M.Sc., Apt, who could not attend. In his remarks, it was conveyed that implementing Community Service activities managed by LPPM USU will prioritize Collaborative Community Service together with other Universities in the future. This began with the National Collaborative Community Service Scheme, which this year is the first year implemented by LPPM USU. Also, to simplify the Community Service Scheme managed by LPPM USU, the Multi-Year Community Service Scheme will not be implemented this year.

Furthermore, after the Chairperson of LPPM USU officially opened the event, the activity continued with a presentation from a resource person related to the Community Service Guidebook Edition 7. This presentation was delivered by the Secretary of LPPM USU, Mrs. Dr. Meutia Nauly S.Psi., M.Sc., Psychologist, who, in her presentation, conveyed matters related to the Community Service Scheme that will be opened in 2023, as well as the provisions and requirements related to each Community Service Scheme that was opened. With the implementation of this Socialization activity, hereby the Teaching Staff/Lecturers at the Universitas Sumatera Utara have been able to submit Community Service proposals through https://simabdimas.usu.ac.id/, which starts on May 15-25, 2023.

With the opening of the acceptance of Community Service proposals for Non-PNBP Funding Sources, we hope that the Teaching Staff/Lecturers at the Universitas Sumatera Utara will immediately propose Community Service activities under the Community Service Scheme contained in the Community Service Implementation Guidebook Edition 7. Also, it is hoped that the teaching staff/lecturers will pay attention to the terms and conditions of each scheme listed in the guidebook.
