Technical Guidance for Proposal Writing for DRTPM Funding 2023

Medan – The Institute for Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Sumatera Utara held a Technical Guidance (BIMTEK) event on Community Service Proposal Writing for DRTPM Funding 2023.

This event was held at Le Polonia Hotel & Convention on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, featuring one of the National Reviewers for Community Service Programs from Universitas Sebelas Maret, Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, MS, who also serves as the Head of the Community Service Institution at Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Additionally, the event included a workshop and coaching clinic on DRTPM proposal writing, led by National Reviewers for Community Service Programs from Universitas Sumatera Utara, namely Prof. Dr. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., and Prof. Muhammad Basyuni, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D.  

During the opening remarks, the committee chairperson, Mrs. Ameilia Zuliyanti Siregar, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., informed that 98 participants were registered for the event, consisting of 68 women and 29 men. The participants represented 16 faculties, including the newly established Vocational Faculty and one postgraduate school within Universitas Sumatera Utara. As one of the speakers, Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, MS shared the latest information on DRTPM and other funding sources for community service programs. Gratitude was also expressed to Prof. Dr. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., and Prof. Muhammad Basyuni, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D., for dedicating their time to support the event's success.  

The event was officially opened by the Head of the Community Service Institution of Universitas Sumatera Utara (LPPM USU), Prof. Dr. Tulus Vor.Dipl.Math., M.Si., Ph.D., who represented the Vice Rector III of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. apt. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., who could not attend. In his speech, he thanked the speakers for their willingness to support implementing this training event.  

Hopefully, this event will increase the number of community service projects funded by DRTPM under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) for the 2023 fiscal year or by other funding sources.  

During the event, participants received presentations from Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, MS, and participated in a workshop and coaching clinic. The participants were divided into two separate rooms to optimize discussions and refine their draft proposals. Prof. Dr. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., facilitated activities in Room 1, while those in Room 2 were led by Prof. Muhammad Basyuni, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D.
