The Community Service Institute of Universitas Sumatera Utara (LPPM-USU) has finalized the concept and technical implementation of the 2022 USU Community Service Program (Abdimas).
Under the 2022 Universitas Sumatera Utara Community Service Program banner, LPPM-USU will socialize the program to all USU lecturers via Zoom on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
The socialization targets all lecturers at Universitas Sumatera Utara, encouraging them to submit outstanding community service proposals to address societal issues in Indonesia, particularly in North Sumatra. Through this socialization, the 2022 Abdimas program is expected to be implemented more efficiently, allowing the service teams more time to work with partner communities.
The 2022 Abdimas program will align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Ministry’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU) as its underlying frameworks. This program aims to strengthen USU’s contributions to achieving SDGs and IKUs.
The 2022 USU Abdimas Program Guidebook (6th Edition) outlines all guidelines and mechanisms for the 2022 Abdimas program. It will be launched alongside the socialization and made available on the LPPM USU website. While not much has changed from the previous year’s guidebook, LPPM-USU has reinforced the strategic foundation for the program to enhance USU’s prominence on the national stage.
As a glimpse for Abdimas lecturers, the 2022 Abdimas LPPM USU program timeline will run throughout the year. Hopefully, the 2022 Abdimas proposals will be more relevant in addressing issues in North Sumatra and contributing to national development.
