The number of funding recipients for the DRTPM program increased fourfold after USU's DRTPM Community Service proposals were submitted in 2022 compared to the previous year. The last achievement was in 2020.

A total of 9 proposals were declared successful in receiving DRTPM funding, consisting of proposals from 3 faculties: Agriculture and Engineering, with one proposal each from the faculties of Public Health, Forestry, and Medicine. The announcement was officially published on the DRTPM Kemdikbud Ristek website on April 28, 2022.

In 2022, USU submitted 124 community service proposals from lecturers across various faculties. Health was the most popular area of interest based on the focus areas, accounting for 31% of the proposals. According to the announcement, most proposals were oriented toward strengthening productive economic communities by applying technology developed by USU lecturers according to their expertise.

The names of the DRTPM Community Service funding recipients for 2022 are as follows:

  1. Ameilia Zuliyanti Siregar from the Faculty of Agriculture
  2. Gina Cynthia Raphita Hasibuan from the Faculty of Engineering
  3. Vindy Rilani Manurung from the Faculty of Agriculture
  4. Elisa Julianti from the Faculty of Agriculture
  5. Juliandi Harahap from the Faculty of Medicine
  6. Hafizah Arinah from the Faculty of Forestry
  7. Eka Lestari Mahyuni from the Faculty of Public Health
  8. Himsar Ambarita from the Faculty of Engineering
  9. Ilmi from the Faculty of Engineering

As a lesson learned, this achievement is inseparable from the efforts of USU's LPPM (Institute for Research and Community Service), which collaborated with internal reviewers who actively provided online and offline assistance from February 4–8, 2022. Simultaneously, the team also visited faculties to conduct socialization and provide consultations for proposal preparation. Informally, reviewers and the LPPM team also assisted lecturers who faced difficulties during the proposal submission process.

Congratulations to the recipients of the DRTPM Community Service funding. Hopefully, these projects can be implemented effectively to support the achievement of USU's Tridharma mission. For lecturers whose proposals were not successful, there is still hope as they await the announcement of the funding results for the 2022 USU Talenta Community Service Program.
