In Medan, the Community Service Institution of Universitas Sumatera Utara welcomed a visit from PT EMP Tonga and the Head of Sayur Matua Village in the LPPM USU Meeting Room on December 6, 2024.
During this meeting, the Head of Sayur Matua Village, Mr. H. Alawali Hasibuan, expressed the purpose of the meeting: to introduce PT EMP Tonga as a partner in the development of Sayur Matua Village and to discuss the involvement of Universitas Sumatera Utara's Community Service Institution in ensuring the sustainability of the village development activities.
PT EMP Tonga, represented by Mr. Hafied, conveyed their support for the development of Sayur Matua Village through the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program. They also noted that the activities would be reported to SKK Migas.
The Community Service Institution expressed its readiness to participate in this program, as it aligns with leadership directives to transition completed foster village programs into partner village initiatives. In this partner village program, funding is expected to come not only from Universitas Sumatera Utara but also from the village or third parties. Thus, the activities planned for Sayur Matua Village align with expectations for partner village development initiatives.
