Medan. The University of North Sumatra again carried out community service activities with the theme 'Web-Based Smart System on Mental Health Prediction for Community Education in Tangkahen Village in Supporting Healthy and Prosperous Life' in Tangkahen Village on (19/07). This activity was carried out in the form of a workshop entitled 'The Importance of Maintaining Physical and Mental Health with the Tangkahen Village Community'.

This program is part of the regular one-year community service scheme with the theme of health 2024. This service team is led by Mrs. Dewi Sartika Br Ginting, S.Kom., M.Kom., with the support of eight other members, namely Ade Sarah Huzaifah, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ivanny Putri Marianto, Muhammad Azi Maulana Manru, Siti Nur Salsabila, Daffa Prawira Akbar, Tiara Bella Dwiyanti Sitepu, Rafi Fauzan Tsany Lubis, Dona Lorenza and Aska Skata.

The main objective of this activity is to increase awareness of the Tangkahen Village community about the importance of maintaining mental and physical health through the use of web-based smart system technology. This system is designed to predict mental health conditions and provide relevant education to support the creation of a healthy and prosperous life.

During the workshop, participants were introduced to the basic concepts of mental health, the importance of maintaining a balance in life, and the role of technology in monitoring and maintaining mental health. One important part of this event was the introduction of a website developed by the community service team. This website is designed to help the community monitor their own mental health, with features such as mental condition predictions and recommendations for improvement steps that can be easily accessed.

After the introduction of the website, a questionnaire was taken from the participants. This questionnaire was designed to check the mental health conditions of the participants, as well as to measure the extent to which they understand and accept the benefits of the technology introduced. Data from this questionnaire will be analyzed to provide an initial picture of the mental condition of the community and as a basis for designing more effective further development programs.

In her remarks, Mrs. Dewi Sartika Br Ginting, S.Kom., M.Kom., "We hope that with this education and technology, the people of Tangkahen Village can better understand the importance of maintaining mental and physical health, and are able to utilize technology to support their well-being independently."

The activity that lasted all day received a positive response from the people of Tangkahen Village. They welcomed the initiative and attention given by the University of North Sumatra community service team, and hoped that similar activities could continue to be carried out in the future.

With the completion of this workshop, it is hoped that Tangkahen Village can be an example in the application of technology to support mental health in other areas. The University of North Sumatra community service team is committed to continuing to assist the community and conducting ongoing evaluations to ensure the success of this program in the long term.
