Deliserdang - Lecturers from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted community service at SD Muhammadiah 29 Sunggal, Deliserdang Regency, Saturday (8/31/2024). This time, the USU community service team raised the topic of Utilization of natural ingredients for hand soap and ecoenzyme formulations. The natural ingredients used utilize chrysanthemum flowers and moringa seeds which have been formulated to form a soap gel for washing hands. In addition, household waste materials such as fruits and vegetables are used to make ecoenzymes which can later be used as dishwashing soap.
This activity includes the transfer of knowledge about the differences between hand soap and hand sanitizers and the transfer of knowledge about ecoenzymes. In addition, the USU community service team together with teachers and parents conducted a demonstration of making ecoenzymes and hand soap from chrysanthemums and moringa seeds.
The Principal of SD Muhammadiah 29 Sunggal Lasmidah, S.Pd.I expressed her gratitude to the USU community service team for providing useful knowledge. So it is very helpful for teachers, guardians and of course students at SD Muhammdiah 29 Sunggal in processing waste and utilizing natural materials.

This Community Service is funded by Universitas Sumatera Utara in the regular mono-annual scheme in 2024.
