Deliserdang - The International Service Team of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the University of North Sumatra (USU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementation Agreement (IA) which were signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of North Sumatra with the KAMU Deliserdang Market, then continued with the signing of the MOA - IA USU Faculty of Cultural Sciences – KAMU Market by Dedi Sofyan on Sunday 30 June 2024.
The signing of the MOA and IA is an agenda and part of the international service collaboration between USU's FIB International Service Team, The Office of Muslim Committee of Bangkok Metropolis, Thammasat University and KAMU Market.
Chair of the USU FIB International Service Team, Prof. Budi Agustono said that the KAMU Market collaboration, especially the lower middle class culinary traders' bazaar which is held every Sunday, has revived the local economy and generated income for lower middle culinary traders.
"Every Sunday KAMU Market is flooded with visitors from various regions to experience the delicious and delicious breakfast in a shady village because the shade of the trees and being surrounded by rice fields makes visitors feel comfortable amidst the crowds," he said.
This Professor of History said that because of the success of managing lower middle class culinary traders, the International Service Team collaborated with Dedi Sofyan to conduct training for small and medium traders in the people of Bangkok, Thailand.
KAMU Market founder Dedi Sofyan said the collaboration with the International Service Team was the beginning of internationalizing KAMU Market to the people of Bangkok, Thailand by providing training and strengthening the economy of the people of the White Elephant Country.
The USU FIB International Service Team will go to Bangkok Thailand 2 – 7 July 2024 with the first agenda, Deputy Dean III FIB USU Pujiono Ph.D and Prof. Budi Agustono will meet the Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, Bangkok, the Director of the Center for East Asian Studies, Thammasat University, and Bangkok Muslim Figures and Lower Medium Traders or Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Bangkok.
