MEDAN, Tourism is a service sector that cannot be moved, cannot be stored, intangible (non-formal) which is a source of foreign exchange, a source of regional/regional income, a driving force for development, a container for preserving arts and culture and opening up isolated border areas.
Therefore, areas that are tourist destinations should be supported by qualified human resources (HR), facilities and infrastructure.
With the entry of tourists into an area, the area has a responsibility to meet the needs of tourists who come to the tourist destination.
One way to meet the needs of tourists is to create tourism facilities such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, tour travel, money changers, and other commercial areas.
Langkat Regency has diverse natural ecotourism potential, such as waterfalls, baths, white water rafting rivers, trekking, natural caves such as the Bukit Lawang Area in Bahorok District, Gunung Leuser National Park, Batu Caves, Tangkahan in Batang Serangan District and marine tourism such as Tanjung Apek Kwala Serapuh and Tanjung Kerang.
The diversity of these tourist areas requires local residents to strive to provide quality services for local and foreign tourists.
At the international level, of course, tourist destinations will face foreign tourists, so that the communication formed will be international, namely using English.
To improve the development of local tourism, a well-designed plan will have an impact on the progress of an area and of course will grow the community's economy and increase the selling value of an area, especially the tourism sector.
Partnership Service

The use of English in the tourism industry facilitates communication between tourism actors and tourists who come from all over the world.
The Head of Sampe Raya Village, M. Bahagia Ginting, expressed his appreciation for this community service activity because there are still many communication obstacles with foreign tourists, such as explaining MSME products or providing information related to the Batu Mandi tourist area.
