Deli Serdang - Lecturers at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) carried out community service by implementing website-based non-communicable disease care which was held from May to November 2024.
This activity is a USU Community Service Institute Program in 2024, in order to make Indonesia's program to achieve SDGs No. 3 a success, namely ensuring a healthy life and improving the welfare of the population.
The service is a collaboration between Lecturers from the Faculty of Nursing and FASILKOM-TI chaired by Dr. Reni Asmara Ariga, SKp, MARS and members Ivan Jaya, S.Si., M.Kom and USU MBKM students.
"This collaboration ensures a comprehensive approach in handling PTM, combining clinical expertise with sophisticated technology to provide integrated and effective solutions," said Dr. Reni Asmara Ariga.
The activity itself was attended by 60 people from Kelambir V Kebun Village by conducting health education on Prevention and Management of Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) and Stunting based on the web to achieve Health Independence.
"The team provides training to the community on how to use the website to monitor health conditions, access accurate health information, and implement steps to improve a healthy lifestyle to prevent and manage PTM," said Dr. Reni Asmara.
She explained that through the website, the community can monitor their health conditions independently and periodically, the community service team provides assistance, and explanations related to health information and monitoring effectively and sustainably.
This community service activity is supported by the local Health Center program, health cadres and village officials in implementing innovations.
