USU Partners with Allcom to Hold Community Service Program to Revitalize Langkat MSMEs

The University of North Sumatra (USU), through its Community Service Institute, in collaboration with AllCom, held a workshop for MSMEs in Langkat on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the AllCom theory classroom.

The activity, titled "Community Service for the Revitalization of MSMEs in Langkat Regency," focused on strengthening mentoring partners through marketing agility and financial innovation.

The head of the USU community service team, who is also the Head of the Administrative Sciences Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, explained marketing strategies and concepts and relevant financial management for MSMEs.

"The mentoring partners are agile, sensitive to trends, and able to help access appropriate funding for businesses," he said.

Furthermore, Dr. Onan emphasized that this activity is part of the university's commitment to supporting community economic empowerment.

He hopes the collaboration with AllCom will expand the reach of mentoring and provide tangible benefits to MSMEs in Langkat.

Furthermore, Aidil Ilham Lubis, Director of All Com, a mentoring partner, welcomed the program. He stated that the activity aims to improve marketing skills and financial innovation to help businesses survive and thrive.

"This is certainly crucial for developing effective and targeted digital marketing strategies. It also encourages business independence and sustainability," Aidil said.

Aidil further expressed his hope that the collaboration would maximize efforts to better prepare MSMEs in Langkat for market competition.

Yunita Aminingsih, one of the training participants, expressed her hope that the organizers would continue and expand activities like this.

"Mentoring like this has a direct impact on us as business owners. MSMEs can become more advanced and independent," said a pastry MSME owner from Padang Tualang.

The activity was interactive, featuring a question-and-answer session, case studies, and marketing strategy simulations. Participants included MSME owners and representatives from the local business community.
