The Acquisition of Community Service Funding from BOPTN for the Years 2021 - 2024 at the Community Service Institution of Universitas Sumatera Utara
Medan, the Community Service Institution of Universitas Sumatera Utara, functions to organize one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which in this case is Community Service activities.
In organizing these Community Service activities, the Community Service Institution manages the activities based on funding sources, including funding from the Higher Education Operational Assistance (BOPTN), which originates from the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service (DRTPM) and the Directorate of Vocational Higher Education Academics (DAPTV) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
The following is the data on Community Service activities funded by BOPTN and managed by the Community Service Institution for 2021 - 2024. From the data mentioned above, the acquisition of Community Service activities under the Community Partnership Empowerment Scheme has consistently increased yearly. Additionally, the Student-Based Entrepreneurship Scheme, acquired in 2023, marked its first year of implementation and was continued in 2024. However, there were no new proposals for this scheme in 2024. In 2024, the Community Service Institution of Universitas Sumatera Utara acquired Community Service activities through the Assignment Scheme in the Technology Innovation Dissemination Program, which involved directly implementing innovative products for the community.
Based on the data above, it is evident that the acquisition of funds for Community Service activities sourced from BOPTN also experienced an annual increase from 2021 to 2024. This aligns with the rise in Community Service activities managed by the Community Service Institution of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
