Sumatra Disaster Emergency Response Community Service Program

This pertains to the Proposal Preparation Activity for the Disaster Response Community Service, which is a program from the Directorate of Research and Community Service, Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), through the Directorate General of Research and Development, moved swiftly to respond to the conditions of floods, landslides, and infrastructure damage in the regions of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra at the end of November 2025.

In relation to the occurrence of these events, the Directorate General of Research and Development is organizing Disaster Emergency Response Community Service activities, the implementation of which is focused on eight main pillars: Logistics Distribution; Health and Nutrition Services; Psychosocial Assistance; Sanitation Rehabilitation and Clean Water Provision; Emergency Education; Economic Recovery; Public Administration Support; and Disaster Mitigation and Education.

Regarding the organized program, the Institute for Community Service of the Universitas Sumatera Utara has formed a Team that will prepare and compile the Proposal for Disaster Emergency Response Community Service activities, in accordance with the time and provisions established based on the Guidelines, as well as the Technical Guidance for proposal preparation that was carried out previously.

Furthermore, the Institute for Community Service of the Universitas Sumatera Utara will ensure that the proposed Program will be implemented in accordance with the proposed work program. It will also serve as the active participation of the Universitas Sumatera Utara in becoming part of the recovery efforts run based on an integrated handling framework.
